Alfred Consulting, KT Corporation, Mitsubishi Electric and Quectel join Sisvel POS patent pool as licensors

Luxembourg, May 15 2026: Alfred Consulting, KT Corporation, Mitsubishi Electric and Quectel Wireless Solutions have signed up to the Sisvel Point of Sale (POS) patent pool as licensors. These additions further strengthen the 2G-5G patent coverage of the industry’s first joint licensing solution for payment terminals.

The new participants join an existing line-up that already includes founding licensors Huawei, LG Electronics and Nokia, as well as more recent signees BlackBerry, Datang Mobile, JVCKENWOOD, KPN, NEC, Pantech, Sisvel and SK Telecom.

Launched in early April, Sisvel POS is the first licensing initiative focused specifically on the POS vertical. By bringing together multiple SEP portfolios under a single licence, it will allow makers of cellular-connected payment terminals to secure a significant share of the IP rights they need in a simple and efficient transaction.
